eat(,) my love! documentation

A cook-& lookbook documenting my Bachelor Thesis Project “EAT(,) MY LOVE!”.
Features my written thesis research, the recipes of four dishes with personal stories and film photographs of my parents and godparents. Paralleled by my interpretation of those dishes into four distinctive looks, which made up my thesis collection.

Created in collaboration with Céline Unternährer and Marla Ritz.
All texts and photographs by me.

“The food industry has a cycle of relentless consumption: we make food, it is consumed, we clean up, and we begin again. In the context of the fashion show we can see food and dining as an allegory for the fashion system’s own inexorable cycle of newness and obsolescence.”- Natalie Smith

EAT(,) MY LOVE! –  Documentation

For me, this was a revelation of what kind of “cook” I would rather want to be. I realized that cooking in my understanding is about community, what you make together or what I make to share. Just like how I cannot exist in a vacuum when I create clothes, I need to be in exchange with others when preparing a meal.
