About
hi, I am Mika.
A creative space explorer and self-proclaimed ‘food processor’, setting off on a path from art and fashion design to food cultures, while examining the nooks and crannies in between.
I graduated from the University of Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW HGK) with a BA in Fashion Design. I like viewing ‘food’, apart from its function as nutrition, as a personal love language, a cross-generational and -cultural code. Thus, ‘fashion’ presents itself as a parallel: whether we are talking about the resources or the processing to the final product. I create as I cook – be it with yarn, fermentation or through written reflections.
I enjoy walks by the lakeside on a spring day, baking a loaf of sourdough, spending hours talking to a friend over a nice cup of tea and devoting (too) many hours to a project I set my stubborn mind to.
Thank you for dropping by to see what I am up to!
